How to Make Sri Lankan Style Chicken Curry

Sri Lankan Chicken Curry
Hi today I'm going to give you a recipe Sri Lankan Style Chicken Curry, I'm not a good in cooking but this recipe help me to make real tasty Chicken Curry Sri Lankan Style after that I decided to Post this to people who like to make Sri Lankan Style food and specially for people who are working abroad they are looking for these kind of recipes so you can enjoy real taste of Sri Lankan Chicken Curry. 
  • 1 kg of Chicken
  • 4 Teaspoon of Minced Garlic
  • 2 Teaspoon of Minced Ginger
  • Salt as for your Taste
  • 5-6 Curry Leaves
  • 2 Sliced Onions 
  • 2 Teaspoon of Toasted Curry Powder
  • 1 or 1 1/2 Teaspoon of Chilly Powder
  • 2-3 Tablespoon of Oil
  • 3-4 Crushed Clove
  • 1 Small Stick of Cinnamon (1 Inch or bit Less)
  • 2-3 Crushed Cardamom
  • 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 Cup Coconut Milk (240ml)
  Cut the chicken in small piece size as per your wish and then wash the cut chicken pieces then drain the water well. Put the chicken in to a Saucepan or bowl and then add the Curry Powder, Salt, Onion, Curry Leaves, Cinnamon stick, Clove, Cardamom then mix with chicken and leave this for 10-20 Minutes to chicken to marinate well. 
  Put the oil in the Saucepan and then heat it well and when oil get heated add the Ginger, Garlic & Onion int the Saucepan and fry it about 3-4 minutes till you see the slight golden brown.  Finally add the chick in the same saucepan and mixed it If you want you can Fry the Chicken bit more then add 1 cup of water (250ml) mixed it then cover the saucepan and cook it for 20 - 30 minutes, during the cooking time to time you have stir it form spoon. after about 20-30 minutes when the water level is reduce you have to add the Coconut Milk and cook it about another 10 minutes with low heat, Finally check the salt taste and add salt if necessary Now your chicken curry is ready to Serve and it will be in good taste.

Important : Do not add more salt in the beginning you check the taste then add salt for your taste.
